She was born in Chicago Illinois on June 13, 1934, the daughter of the late Clara Marie (Rybicki) and Michael Donald Milch. Following the death of her husband Daniel Adamson, she moved to Auburn Lake Trails in Cool CA. She bred and raised Arabian horses and enjoyed an occasional stint with the local theater group. She loved to read and travel, had a special fondness for flowers and growing plants, and enjoyed friendships with many in her local community. Sonya was preceded in death by her youngest son David Berheide. She is survived by her daughter Willow Grant, her son Michael Berheide (Barbara), and her granddaughter Lauren Walmsley (Sean). A memorial service will be held sometime in the spring of 2026, location and date to be determined.
