Anthony Lee Lightner

Tony was a General Contractor and owned Apartment Maintenance Company, for 20 years. He was an Assistant Cubmaster in BSA Pack 300, Assistant Scoutmaster in BSA Troop 363 as well as a member of the Order of the Arrow. He loved to help with the Pinewood Derby races, go on campouts, teach fishing and hike. He was an active volunteer at Unity San Diego in the Youth Ministry often playing the part of Santa Claus. Tony sang and danced in the “Fall Follies” and was a hardcore “Trekkie ”. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.

Tony was 70 years old when he made his transition on Tuesday October 17, 2023. As he moved on in his Spiritual journey, he was surrounded by his loving family and dearest friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister Michelle Lightner, his mother Elizabeth Lightner, and his father Robert Lightner.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Karla Lightner, daughters Gina Perez, Aiida Grant, Tracy Gallegos, Shannon O’Cleary and Eliana Lightner and sons Matthew Lightner and Jacob Lightner along with grandchildren Marina Lorenzana, Mikaela Lorenzana, Alyx Racette, Donte Kennedy Jr., Tatyana Kennedy, Adriana Grant, and Sabrina O’Cleary.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday November 11, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Unity San Diego 3770 Altadena Ave. San Diego, CA 92105.
