Hi, 
My name is Rebecca Reynolds. I grew up on the same street as Carl in the 1960's  and we were best friends. Carl called me Becky and I called him Rusty, like his mom did, and forever what I will call him . 
He was so bright and funny and we spent many hours and years playing and exploring our vast neighborhood. Back then,  kids spend hours outside free to roam as long as we showed up for meals. And games in the street, like hide and seak, went on until after dark. It was a wonderful time to be a kid.
Rusty was like my brother and he sure needed some kids in his life. We fought, we laughed, we planed and depended on each other and my family was like his. 
I live on the same street now, in the house next door to his house on Van Buren Ave. I never got to meet his wife and family and I was so sad when I looked him up to find he had passed. I wonder what happened?
