Jeanne Marie Flynn

Jeanne Marie Flynn of San Diego, California passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021 at the age of 87. She was born on December 3, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois and Michigan where her childhood years were spent growing up at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center.

She graduated from Point Loma High School in 1951. Jeanne worked as an executive secretary for Convair and Carter Engineering in San Diego. She was actively involved in her children’s PTA as President, a member of the Women’s Golf Association at the San Diego Country Club where she had four holes in one!!. Playing bridge was a favorite interest along with her favorite flower being orchids. She traveled extensively with her husband Mickey throughout Europe and the Far East and skied the various resorts within the United States. Jeanne spent some special times in Thailand where she was privileged to participate in performing temple rubbings that she was able to bring back home to enjoy. She also belonged to the San Diego Tennis and Racket Club and avidly knitted afghan’s for various Charities.

She is preceded in death by her parents Marvin and Jessie French, previous husband Dick Greenbaum, sister Joan Wilcox and brother Marvin French.

She is survived by her husband Mickey Flynn, children Fritz Greenbaum (Carol), Carre St. Andre, Marie Gabrielle McLaughlin, step-children Kathleen (Steve) Flynn, Teresa Daher (Don), Rosie Flynn (Michael), Kevin Flynn, Patrick Flynn, and grandchildren Kaya Seewalker and Gracie Weischedel and sister Pat French.

The family would like to extend our most heartfelt thank you to Alicia Rodriquez for the care and compassion she showed Jeanne for the past four years and in her final days. Her devotion and loving companionship helped Jeanne to live the fullest life possible.

Private Interment will take place at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego, California.
