Laverne Bondeson Carlson

LaVerne’s lifelong work was education. She began in special education, then taught for many years in elementary school before becoming a school administrator. She eventually became a school district Superintendent and held that position in several districts, including Lebec, Easton and Baker Valley, California.

She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Nels and daughters Kjirste Morrell, Martha Adami, and Jeannette Temple, and 7 grandchildren, as well as her sister Ardys Stadler of Saint Paul, MN.

The family would like to thank the many healthcare workers, doctors, nurses, and aides who assisted LaVerne for the care and compassion they showed her in her final days. A memorial service for family and friends will be planned for a later date. LaVerne’s remains will be cremated and ashes scattered appropriately in the California world she loved.
