Regina Ann Kane

Regina "Jeannie" Ann Kane of Poway, CA passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on 2/16/2025 at the age of 86. She was born on 4/29/1938 in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from Little Flower Catholic High School in Philadelphia, PA.

She was a loving homemaker (housewife) and caregiver for many families including most of her grandchildren, the Burke and the Reed Families, who are still close family friends to this day.

She was actively involved in St Gabriel's Catholic Church in Poway, since the inception, as the first female Eucharistic minister and took care of the church's altar linens for decades. She loved to pray for all her family and friends, and special requests by including them in her intentions for her daily rosaries and novenas. (They were on the ever updated prayer list, and she would talk to "the Big Guy"!)

She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William Kane, her identical twin sister Rosemary Mergen and brother Micky McGroarty.

She is survived by her 7 children: Will, Mike, Dyan, Kathy, Christina, Cyndee and Erin. 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandkids.

The family would like to thank the Staff at Huntington manor in Poway, the staff at Mission Hospice and close friend Dorthea Burke for the care and compassion they showed our mother in her final days.

Regina never met a stranger, just a friend she hadn't met yet!
