of San Diego, California, peacefully passed away on December 11, 2024 at the age of 70 after a long illness. Born in Canoga Park, California on November 11, 1954.
He grew up in Sylmar, California and lived most of his life in San Diego, Ca. Graduated from San Diego Mesa College with an Associate of Science Degree in 1976. He worked for a time as an Irrigation System Designer for a landscaping company. Later, he became a Caregiver for our mother during the last years of her life. He then continued working for In-Home Support Services as a caregiver.
He was actively involved in his church where he sang in the choir and became a Deacan at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Victor volunteered at the Blind Community Center where he met Vicki Binde. They were married at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in June of 2004. Though legally blind, he participated in a surfing event at Carlsbad Beach through the San Diego Blind Recreation Center, and received medals for finishing the Carlsbad half marathon, drove a car, and loved to ride his bike.
He was once president of the San Diego Indoor Sports Club, which supported resources for people with disabilities. He also enjoyed family camping adventures, going fishing with his Uncle Chuck, trips to visit family, and visiting the San Diego Zoo. He is survived by his sister Robin, brother-in-law Rick, brother Eli, sister-in-law Alice, and nephews Alex and Kevin. He was preceded in death by his wife of 10 years, Vicki.
