Cathleen "Cathy" Cavanaugh

Cathy worked as a clerk and IT worked at Kaiser, and was a member of the groundskeeping staff at Dela Viega golf course and the Pacific Garden Mall.

She was actively involved in artistic expression of a wide variety – Cathy won awards for photography, studied calligraphy, was a skilled flower arranger, created and helped others create beautiful gardens and loved to dance Salsa. She loved art, her Giants, every animal she ever met, her dearest friends Christie, Beth and Styles, Linda, Wendy and the amazing neighbors she was blessed to have on the West Side.

She is preceded in death by her parents Earl and Bernadette Cavanaugh. She is survived by her brother Michael Cavanaugh and sisters Christine Cavanaugh-Simmons and Cindy Jarrett, nieces Shannon, Diane, Diem and nephew Christopher.

The family would like to thank the staff in the ICU at Dominican, especially Anna (Nurse), Nicole (LCSW), Tammy (MSW), Cheree (nurse) in Comfort Care and Dr. Hernandez for the care and compassion they showed Cathy in her final days.

There will be a memorial, at a later date and you are welcome to let her sister Christine know of your desire to attend by sending your name and email/contact information to [email protected] to be informed of the date and location for a memorial in Santa Cruz.
