

Jacklyn (Jackie) Marie Meador of Fresno, California passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at the age of 77. She was born on September 15, 1948, in Los Angeles, California and grew up in Long Beach, California.
She married Mark ‘Oly’ Meador and they relocated to Fresno to raise their children. Jackie worked as a Paralegal for Fresno County for over 20 years, and post-retirement pursued her passion of paranormal investigations. Jackie was renowned for her expertise in this area and was an award-winning producer of the show Paranormal Journeys. She had many friends who describe her as a natural leader, fiercely loyal, and passionate about her beliefs. She created opportunities for people to learn, to question, and to explore mysteries that fascinated them.
Jackie also enjoyed traveling and traveled to Texas to visit her son, daughter-in-law and her grandchildren. She was a great gift-giver and enjoyed a good science fiction book as well as politics. In addition, Jackie had a soft spot for animals and donated to several animal rescues.
She is preceded in death by her spouse, Mark ‘Oly’ Meador, her mother Elsie Salas and her father Lawrence Jacob Cook.
She is survived by her children Matt (Kelley) Strickland and Heather (Doug) Krupens, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 4, 2026, in Fresno, California. Additional details forthcoming. Jackie left us too soon and will be remembered always. Her legacy will live on in the paranormal community she helped build. May she rest in Peace.
