Janet E. Lawless

Janet graduated from Barstow Elementary School and was active in the Barstow 4H Club. She graduated from Central High School, Class of 1961 and attended California Commercial College. She enjoyed a career as an Insurance Agent for over 40 years. She received several certificates and awards during her career. She received the highest award for Cecil B Sawyer Award from Casualty Insurance Company.

She was a member of the Fresno Insurance Women and the National Insurance Women. She was Corporate Secretary to Cal-Rose Inc., in Madera. She retired that position when her father passed away. When she retired, she enjoyed traveling in and out of the country with her husband, entertaining and working on their home and yard with her Michael.

She was preceded in death by her parents Edward V. Rosenthal and Mariam Lucille Rosenthal, brother Edward Lewis Rosenthal of Madera. Janet is survived by her Husband William (Mike) Lawless of Santa Cruz, her son Donnelle and his wife Patricia Lawless of Fresno, son Jerry and his wife Heidi Lawless of Friant, granddaughters and son in law, Christopher & Lauren N. Lawless of Fresno, Kendall E. Lawless of Fresno, and Dustin T. Lawless of Visalia. Nephew & niece, Gregory & Connie Gammon of Sparks, their daughter Cori of Sparks, NV. Of the many cousins with whom she shared fun times and good memories, she was especially close to: Betty Gardner of Santa Cruz, Diane Cannon of Napa, Ron Bear of Avinal and Morgan and Mardi Skoegard of Venice, Fl. Her life long friends (more like brothers and sisters), Dr. Lawrence of Metzler of Fresno, Karin Kuester of Mt. View, Beverly Bilbrey of Fresno and Charlotte Bird of Santa Cruz.

She will be greatly missed by all who loved her!
