Priscilla Louise Timmons-Brown

Priscilla, a longtime resident of Santa Cruz, California, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2026, at the age of 91. Priscilla was born in Carmel, California, in 1934 to Luke and Francis Trimble. She grew up in Reedley, California, and went on to graduate from San Jose State University in 1956 with a degree in Chemistry. She was a proud member of the Alpha Phi sorority and remained actively connected to her university throughout her life. Priscilla began her professional career at Lawrence Livermore Laboratory and later worked for Lockheed Martin until 1972. She also pursued an interest in real estate development, participating in several projects in the Santa Cruz area.

Throughout her life, Priscilla was deeply committed to giving back to her community. She was active in the American Heart Association and served as president of its Bay Area chapter. She was also involved with the San Jose State University Alumni Association and served on its scholarship board.

Priscilla had a great love of travel and enjoyed exploring the world. Her travels took her to many places throughout Asia, Europe, and Central America, creating memories and experiences that she cherished. Another of her great passions was art, particularly oil painting, through which she expressed her creativity and love of beauty.

Priscilla was preceded in death by her parents, Luke and Francis Trimble, and her husbands, Joel Brown and Art Timmons.

She is survived by her two sons, Guy and Clay Timmons; Clay’s wife Valerie; Priscilla’s grandchildren, Cassandra, Ashton, Anders, Morgan, Pauline, and Jeremy Timmons. Priscilla will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community. She leaves behind an empty space in the lives of those who knew and loved her, as well as a lasting legacy of family, friendship, service, creativity, and adventure.
