Seamus and I became good friends through the Scotts Valley Sportsmen’s Club.  He loved everything about his life: his loving wife, Maryanne, son Adam along with the rest of the Murray family, friends, and of course- his HOBBIES.  I introduced him to Sporting Clays and it didn’t take long before he was giving ME lessons.  Seamus was Club secretary and he still found plenty of time to help with interviewing new members.  He said: “ I love to meet people so send me as many applicants as you like.”

Seamus lived life to the fullest.  In the last year we drifted apart which is a poignant reminder: “when you make good friends…keep them close”!  Rest in Peace Seamus

Dad, you left behind to many memories to count. The condo in willow glen. Lifting me up to sit on the counter while you made breakfast. Our family house on Alan. Playing on the front lawn or in the street. You being at and recording every event that I had. The soccer games, football games, wrestling matches, high school guitar recitals and even my jiu jitsu matches as an adult. You were always there cheering me on and taking care of whatever I needed. I’m going to miss seeing you there at every life event and milestone. The pride you took in me and the love you had for me and the family was immeasurable. I’ll never forget what you did for me and how you took care of us, you set the standard so high that I don’t think I’ll be able to do what you did. It will be something that I forever stride to be though. Thank you Dad, I’ll always love you and I miss you already.

When I think of Seamus, I picture a tall, proud Irishman whose presence made you feel safe. With his tattoos and tough exterior, he looked every bit the strong man—but those of us who knew him well also knew the tender heart that lived beneath it all.

Seamus was kind, generous, and quietly supportive. During one of the most difficult times in my life, when my girls and I needed help the most, he and my Aunt Maryanne welcomed us into their home without hesitation. We only stayed a couple of days, but their kindness and generosity gave us exactly what we needed at that moment. I will never forget that gift or the love behind it.

Seamus had a wonderful way of showing his love, often without many words. He liked to play the tough guy, but every now and then something beautiful—a touching story, a meaningful moment, or someone he loved—would bring tears to his eyes. Those moments revealed the compassionate, loving man he truly was.

Family meant everything to Seamus. He loved my Aunt Maryanne deeply, and his devotion to her was something special to witness. He was so proud of and cherished his children, daughter-in-law, and grandson. His generosity with his family was constant, and he showed his love through both his actions and his unwavering support.

My husband and I were also fortunate to share many wonderful trips with Seamus and Maryanne over the years. Those adventures are some of our happiest memories—filled with laughter, stories, and the simple joy of being together. We will treasure those moments forever.

Seamus leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, love, and quiet strength.  I will always be grateful for the support he gave me, the memories we shared, and the example he set of loving and caring for your family.

Rest in peace, Seamus. You were deeply loved, and you will be deeply missed. Thinking of you, Jimmy Bubbles, will always bring a smile to my face and warmth to my heart.

It has only been a week since Seamus (Jim) passed away, and the void in all of our hearts still feels overwhelming. He brought so much laughter, joy, and kindness into our lives with his big smile and unforgettable chuckle.

I will always be grateful for the advice he shared with me, especially his financial guidance and his wisdom on how to better provide for your family. He was a great father, a true friend, and, above all, a man who set the standard for loving his wife. The love, respect, and devotion he showed Maryanne was something we could all learn from.

Tonight, I looked back at the last text Jim ever sent me. At the end of our conversation, it hit me really hard that he simply wrote, “Happy wife, happy life.” Those four simple words perfectly reflected the way Jim lived. They weren’t just a saying—they were a reminder to love your wife, cherish every moment together, and always put your family first. I will carry those words with me forever.

You are deeply missed, Jim. Your wisdom, your laughter, and your example will never be forgotten.

From the time I met Jim and all throughout the rest of the years, I always remember him for his love of life and love of his family. He was a true professional in his career. I was at the wedding when he was coined with the nicknamed Jimmy bubbles a well deserved nickname. His strong ties to his Irish background always impress me. He traveled an experienced a lot of different places with Maryanne on his arm. We are we are grateful for all the times Jim and Maryanne opened their house up for family parties as you can see in the pictures and welcomed everybody. Was a life well lived rest in peace Jim love Butch and Acacia.

I am so incredibly sorry for the loss of Jim. He was such a wonderful, steady presence in my life for almost 30 years, and I will miss him deeply.

One of my favorite memories is the first time I met him at a Talpas family gathering at Vasona Park. He was holding baby Adam, and I had baby Meg. We stood there exchanging all kinds of baby advice, and it was clear even then what a loving and devoted dad he was.

Over the years, Jim shared so much wisdom with us, including financial advice that helped our family more than he probably ever knew. But what I'll remember most is the way he loved you. I remember him telling me that you made life so much fun and that you brought him so much happiness. The love he had for you was unmistakable.

Jim was a gentle giant with a kind heart, a generous spirit, and an unwavering love for his family. 

I've attached a picture of the two of you that, to me, perfectly embodies the fun, joy, and deep love you brought to each other's lives. Every time I see it, I think of the incredible partnership you shared and the happiness you gave one another.

Please know that I am holding you and your family close in my heart during this incredibly difficult time. I love you, my friend, and I'm here for you—today and in all the days ahead.

So many memories with my guy.  Santa Cruz Harbor some years ago

While we didn’t know Seamus well, we would often wave hello across the creek. You could tell he and Maryanne were well loved by their sons, who would often be there helping their folks with yard work and other tasks. We could often hear them enjoying a family get together in their special outdoor area. Lots of laughter and fun. 
We are so sorry for your loss and our hearts go out to you all.

While my brother and I may have already been adults when you came into our lives, you became every bit as much a father to us—certainly to me—as anyone ever could. You always took such good care of Mom, and for that we will always love and appreciate you. You meant more to our family than words can express, and we are going to miss you deeply.

Seamus & I lived in Capitola, our dream by the beach.  He leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and unforgettable memories for our family.  

Seamus built a respected career at Northrop Grumman, where he made many friends.  Beyond his professional life, Seamus had a passion for adventure. He loved hitting the road on his motorcycle, driving his Tesla and found great joy and focus in clay shooting. where he also made many new  friends.

Above all, Seamus cherished our family. He  was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.  He loved our sons & was generous to a fault.  His strength, and adventurous spirit will be sorely missed by all of us who knew and loved him deeply.  Our lives are ever altered by his loss.   Sending my love to him in the heavens above.
