Shelley Diane Nemeth

She graduated from Millikan High School, and continued her education at Long Beach City College. Over a long career, Shelley worked as an editor, copywriter, and finally retiring as an administrative secretary at Carmel Unified School District and Carmel High School.

Shelley was actively involved in her local library, camera club, and birding groups throughout her life. She loved to write and travel, taking photographs along the way to share her experiences with others. Her photographs were featured in the Pacific Grove Public library and won awards from the Padre Trails Camera Club.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Steven, her children Dashiel Nemeth and Jillian Tischio, along with her son-in-law, Robert, and her grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at Canterbury Woods for the care and compassion they showed her in her final days.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of her life and adventures on Monday, July 6th, 2026, between 1:30 and 3:00pm, at Canterbury Woods, 651 Sinex Ave, Pacific Grove, CA. This event will be an informal opportunity to share our fond memories of Shelley with one another. Guests are welcome to come and go any time during the event.
