Thomas Sampson Hyun Jr.

Lt. Colonel Thomas Sampson Hyun Jr. retired from the military and had a very long, fruitful and honorable life with the Army. He served his country in Vietnam and was honored with many medals for his services.

My father helped build Salinas by being one of the main Civil Engineers working for the City of Salinas and help train many new Civil Engineers before he retired. He was such a key factor for the City of Salinas they called him back FOUR times out of retirement. He finally fully retired in his late 70’s!

My Dad was a strong minded, out spoken and loved his Ohana in his own way. Bingo was one of his main hobby and brought him joy just to go whether he won or not.

He was a wonderful husband, father, father in law and loved his Grandson and his Great Grandson with all his heart.

He was a man who traveled the world and loved life and fought hard for four years being on dialysis until his body couldn’t keep up with his Mana! You are missed Papa and loved so, so very much!
