Mark Warren Smith

Mark Warren Smith, born on October 6, 1955, in San Francisco, CA, to Merlin and Gloria Smith, Mark passed away on March 29, 2024, peacefully in his home located in South San Francisco in the loving arms of his family.

He was a man of simple pleasures, finding joy in spending time with his cherished family and friends, savoring a good BBQ, and relishing an ice-cold Budweiser.

Mark was known for his hard work and dedication, serving as a maintenance supervisor for the South San Francisco Housing Authority for 38 years. He embodied the values of integrity and perseverance throughout his career and life.

He married his childhood sweetheart, Renee adoring her over the 47 years they had together. Mark was a devoted father to his two children, Michelle Hembry (Smith) and James Smith. His love extended to his son- in-law,Mark Hembry and son’s girlfriend of 25 years Tracy Summers, his two grandchildren, Ashley Moreno (Hembry)and Jonathan Hembry, his girlfriend Jessica Guerrero, and three

great-grandchildren Mason Moreno, Noah Hembry, and Nico Moreno, affectionately known as "Nugget."

Mark's warm presence, infectious laughter, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
